Tori's Birthday

Tori turned six in July. It was so much fun! We had a ladybug birthday party! Here are some pics.

We colored our flower pots and then we made ladybugs to go inside our flower pots. We then headed outside to plant flowers in our pots. The little girls were all so cute!!

We then went on a treasure hunt, played place the spot (oreo) on the ladybug and opened presents and ate cupcakes! Birthday parties are sure a lot of work, but this one was so worth it to see my little girl so happy!

MOAB

We had so much fun in Moab this past weekend. Most of my siblings all went and so it was really fun for the cousins to play. We had 11 boys under the age of 11 and 2 girls both 5 years old. That is a lot of boys, and a lot of fun for them to all play! It was really cold at night. I think the low for the two nights was about 34 degrees. The kids slept remarkably well, they did not wake up once. I woke up about every hour to make sure that the kids were covered because I was worried that they would get cold, but they slept a lot better than I did! It was also really cold in the morning, I think that most of the kids ended up in the cars to get warm. The hiking weather was perfect though. I much prefer 55 degrees to 80 degrees for hiking. We went into Arches National park and did a bunch of mini hikes through out the day. It was a blast! The highlight of Arches was the sand for the kids. Tori laid down in the sand and said; "This is Heaven". Caden buried himself so well that a guy stepped on his neck! The guy felt so bad that he told Caden he would lay his son down in the sand and Caden could step on him! Scott tried really hard to build a sand house; not quite sure how that ended up?

Birthday Boy!

Scott turns 3 tomorrow. We celebrated it today cuz Caden and Scott are sick, we were suppose to go to Chuck E. Cheese's but could not cuz they were too sick. Sooo, we had three sad children and decided to celebrate his birthday a day early. He loved every minute of it! He is such a cute, happy boy!

Loves his Mr. and Mrs. Potato Heads from Grandma!

Super Readers to the Rescue! Scott has developed a new obsession with Super Why. He adores this costume and his pen says zap, and he "Zaps" everything he sees.

When I asked Scott what kind of cake he wanted he said, Bob the Builder bonk his head cake. So when you see Bob a little tipsy on the cake it was planned. Bob is bonking his head on the sign.

Is it really still winter?

Goodness, is winter over yet? This is the never ending year of snow, freezing cold temperatures, and more snow. Anyway, I was going through my pictures of the kids this winter and decided to post a few.

COLORADO!!!

Travis and I went to Colorado a couple weeks ago with no kids!! It was a blast. I don't think Trav and I have had an opportunity to talk that much with out kids for 7 years! It was awesome and we came back rejuvenated and refreshed. Thursday night we went to the Avs game, our seats were 10 rows up from the ice! Friday we went to Travis cousins's house. Paula's house was delightful. Her two boys were adorable and she cooked amazing food. We don't get to see them often; it was so good to visit. Thank's Paula for the great time!

Halloween

Halloween was super busy this year! By the time it was over, I was READY to be done with Halloween. Travis and I went to our first murder mystery party and it was really fun. They are a lot of work and my friend who put it on did an awesome job. Travis was a terrific sport at the party. He was "Royal T" a loud mouth wrestler that no one liked. He ended up being the victim. I think everyone at the party was shocked that Travis played the part so well. He threw quite a few people off and it was really funny. My part, however, was perfect. I was "Jamie Bond" a secret agent who was shy and quiet. Here are a few pictures from the party.

The kids had a great Halloween too. Caden was a ninja, Tori was Little Red Riding hood, and Scott was Bob the Builder. They were NOT into pictures so this is the best one I have.

Family Pictures

Here is the link to our family pictures. We had to do two sessions because the wind was Horrible the first time and the girls hair was out of control. It was so fun to have pictures taken! We had a great photographer, which helped a bunch.
